We’re proud to announce the launch of Jimmy, a multilingual AI-powered assistant now live at the Mersey Ferries Gerry Marsden Terminal at Liverpool’s Pier Head.

Developed in collaboration with the Liverpool City Region Combined Authority and the Local Visitor Economy Partnership, Jimmy provides visitors with real-time travel updates, event information, and local recommendations through natural, human-like interaction.

Accessible both at the terminal and online via QR code, Jimmy supports 99 languages, automatically responding in whichever language he’s spoken to — helping make the region’s public transport more inclusive and connected.

The installation coincides with the Liverpool City Region AI Summit 2025, following a successful pilot during the Labour Party Conference. Jimmy will remain at the Mersey Ferries terminal until early 2026 before moving to a new transport location as part of the project’s next phase.
