We’re proud to introduce ‘Jimmy’, our AI-powered digital employee, who has officially joined the team at Mersey Ferries to help visitors navigate Liverpool’s waterfront with real-time, multilingual support. Following a successful pilot during the Labour Party Conference, Jimmy is now based at the Gerry Marsden Terminal at Pier Head, where he interacts with passengers in 99 languages — sharing travel information, event details, and local insights in an engaging and accessible way.
Developed in partnership with the Liverpool City Region Combined Authority and the Local Visitor Economy Partnership, Jimmy’s launch aligns with the region’s wider ‘AI for Good’ vision, showcasing how intelligent digital employees can enhance public services and visitor experiences.
At Sum Vivas, we’re proud to see our technology helping Liverpool lead the way in using AI to connect people, improve accessibility, and make public spaces more welcoming.
